Kilwinning Councillor Donald Reid has welcomed forthcoming improvement works to paths in Kilwinning Cemetery.
Cllr Reid has been working to deliver upgrade works at the cemetery for some time and is delighted that works are being carried out from £180,000 of funds allocated for cemetery upgrades in the Labour Councils capital budget.
Councillor Reid said;
“I know that many of my constituents will welcome the improvements to paths within Kilwinning cemetery.
“The cemetery is a place of remembrance and it’s condition is of utmost importance to people throughout the community. I am regularly contacted by constituents about the cemetery and I routinely visit it myself to keep an eye on it too. The upgrading of the paths has been worked on for some time and it is great to see it finally happening.”
