Cabinet Member for Place
Jim was first elected in 2011, winning the Saltcoats and Stevenston by-election comprehensively having been tens of votes short of the 50% threshold in the first round of voting.
Currently the Labour Councillor for the Saltcoats ward, Jim is also the Cabinet Member for Place with responsibility for council housing, sustainability and direct services such as waste collection and grounds maintenance.
