Joe Cullinane
Group Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance
Joe was first elected to represent his hometown of Kilwinning in 2012. In August 2016 he was elected leader of the Labour Group and later that month, after the SNP resigned from administration, he voted in as the leader of North Ayrshire Council, becoming the youngest ever council leader in the area’s history.
In addition to being Council Leader, Joe has taken on the Finance Portfolio saving money on the political administration of the Council. He is the first leader to take on a portfolio responsibility.
